This policy describes the intended handling of information by Auto Clicker & Macro Recorder, developed by Bohdan Bilous and presented by macapp.studio. It covers the app, not Apple’s services or the apps and websites you automate.
1. Information Used by the App
The clicker uses the settings you choose, such as action type, rate, target point or area, selected app, schedules, limits, and shortcuts. Macro recording uses the input you choose to record: key presses, clicks, button holds, drags, scrolling, cursor paths, and timing. This input is necessary to reproduce the sequence.
Recorded key presses can reveal text or sensitive information. The app should not be treated as a safe place to enter passwords while recording. Stop recording before entering confidential information and review the recorded steps.
2. Local Settings and Macro Storage
Under the local-only model described in this policy, presets, app preferences, and saved macros remain on your Mac. Input is processed on your device to record and replay the automation you request. The developer does not receive the contents of your macros or the input captured during recording.
Device backups, shared user accounts, or files you choose to share may make local information available outside the app. Their handling depends on your device, backup, and sharing settings.
3. Data Collection and Tracking
Under the same model, the app does not transmit personal information, recorded input, device identifiers, usage analytics, or behavioral logs to the developer. It does not include advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs. These statements must be checked against the released app and its included services before this policy is adopted.
4. macOS Permissions
Accessibility and/or Input Monitoring permission may be needed to generate input events or observe the input you choose to record. macOS shows the relevant permission requests. Access is used to support automation and recording, and you can revoke it in System Settings > Privacy & Security. Dependent features may stop working after access is revoked.
5. Purchases and Third Parties
If you obtain the app or make a purchase through the App Store, Apple handles the transaction under its own terms and Privacy Policy. The developer does not receive your full payment-card details from an App Store purchase. Third-party games, apps, or websites that receive automated input continue to handle that interaction according to their own policies.
6. Support Messages
If you email the developer, your message, email address, and information you choose to include are used to respond and resolve your request. Do not send passwords or sensitive macro contents. Support correspondence is distinct from in-app collection. You may ask the developer to delete correspondence, subject to any applicable legal obligations.
7. Retention and Your Choices
You control what you record and save. Remove recordings and presets you no longer need using the controls available in your app version. Uninstalling the app may leave saved preferences or other local files behind; contact support for removal instructions. Your backups may keep separate copies until you remove them.
You can stop recording or playback, disable schedules, and revoke permissions. Under the local-only model, the developer has no copy of your locally stored macros to access, export, or erase on your behalf.
8. Security
Protect your Mac with appropriate account access controls and review macros before sharing them. No storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Recorded inputs may be visible to anyone who can access your saved macros or device.
9. Children’s Privacy
The app is not designed to collect personal information from children. Do not include children’s or other people’s private information in recordings or support messages without an appropriate basis to do so. Contact the developer if you believe a child’s information has been sent in a support request.
10. Changes and Contact
