These Terms of Use apply to Mouse Scroll, developed by Bohdan Bilous and presented by macapp.studio (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What the App Does
Mouse Scroll changes how your mouse wheel scrolls on your Mac. Its features include smoothing presets, duration, distance and acceleration controls, separate vertical and horizontal directions, modifier-key actions, and per-app rules. Trackpads and Magic Mouse retain their native scrolling behavior. Features and compatibility may vary by app and macOS version.
2. License and Ownership
You may use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the applicable license and App Store usage rules. The app’s code, design, and branding remain the developer’s intellectual property. Do not redistribute the app or bypass its licensing. Rights granted by applicable law are unaffected.
For an App Store download, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a valid custom license is provided with the app.
3. Permissions and Your Control
Mouse Scroll requires macOS permissions to process scroll input and apply the settings you choose. Follow the permission request shown by your installed version. You can manage or revoke permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security; features that depend on them may stop working.
You control whether Mouse Scroll is on, which apps use custom settings, and which modifier-key actions are enabled. You can switch the app off, disable it for a particular app, or reset its settings.
4. Compatibility and Responsible Use
Other mouse utilities, remote sessions, games, and apps may handle scroll input differently. Test your settings and use per-app rules when needed. Running more than one utility that smooths the same mouse-wheel input can cause unexpected behavior. Built-in profiles are starting points and do not guarantee compatibility with every version of another app.
Use Mouse Scroll only on devices you are permitted to configure, and follow any rules that apply to the apps and services you use.
5. Purchases and Refunds
Prices, included features, and any purchase or renewal terms are shown at the point of purchase. Apple handles App Store payments and refund requests under its applicable terms. We do not receive your full payment-card details from an App Store purchase.
6. Privacy
See the separate Mouse Scroll Privacy Policy for information about scroll input, settings, and support correspondence.
7. Availability and Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every device, app, or system update. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
8. Ending Use and Updates
You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. App features and these terms may change; an updated date will identify a revised version. Any notices or consent required by applicable law will be provided. Mandatory consumer protections remain in effect.
